The second phase of essential improvement work on the Bristol and Bath Railway Path will start on 8 April 2019 and last for two weeks.
During this time the path will be closed between Gordon Road and Bruce Road as the council carries out maintenance in the area beside the Chocolate Factory in Easton.
The work involves resurfacing of the path, which includes removal of tree roots and laying of new tarmac. Tree roots have caused considerable damage in this location and this work will make the path safer for those people using it.
A diversion will be in place on site and you can download a map detailing the diversion.
In addition to work to this area of the path, there will be further resurfacing works in other locations along the main path and on access paths. This will be managed through either one-day closures with small diversions or semi-closure allowing cyclists and pedestrians to stay on the path during the work with certain restrictions.
Disruption to journeys will be kept to a minimum.
