Grab your bike: Let’s Ride and take over the streets of Bristol.

Published on 15/06/2018

On Sunday, 8 July the HSBC-Let’s Ride family event comes to Bristol city centre. It’s completely free, you get to see your city in a different way and it’s a fun, active, family-friendly day out.

This year Bristol and Leicester are the only two English cities hosting both the British Cycling Grand Prix men’s and women’s races in the morning and Let’s Ride in the afternoon. After watching the races, from 1.30pm you can ride the 5-6k city centre route, traffic free, for as long or as little as you like. Expect a festival atmosphere of music, food and fun. Bring your bike or hire one at the event. Try a YoBike, get your face on the telly and grab a podium photo!

Bristol wants lots of people to turn out on the day and everyone is invited to pre-register at www.letsride.co.uk/events/Bristol.

This helps the council manage the event and means you can get all the information you need sent to you. Plus you’ll be on track for a race bib, prizes and giveaways, and news of other great cycling opportunities.

You don’t need to be an experienced cyclist – there are no cars on the road at Let’s Ride. You can wobble, zig-zag, and stop as much as you like. We’re keen for cyclists of any age and biking ability to take part – especially families and women in Bristol. So, everyone: Let’s Ride Bristol on 8 July.
