The Portway is a direct and mostly traffic-free cycle route connecting Avonmouth and Shirehampton to the City Centre.

The route begins in Millenium Square in central Bristol and follows along Hotwell Road, past the scenic Harbourside taking in the great view of S.S. Great Britain on the opposite side of the water and onto The Portway.

There are shared use paths along the A4 and under the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge built by Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

The route continues towards Avonmouth and Shirehampton.
