Between June 2008 and March 2011, Bristol and South Gloucestershire Councils embarked on a major project to get thousands of more people back on their bikes.
A number of projects helped bring about this transport revolution:
- building new and improved cycling infrastructure
- running fun and exciting events
- providing people with help and support through training, working with businesses, schools and community projects
- raising awareness of the reasons to cycle and how to get started
