Bristol is encouraging residents, workplaces, schools, and community groups to get involved in Cycle September, a free, month-long celebration of biking that kicks off on 1 September.
Cycle September is all about helping more people discover the joy of riding – whether it’s to work, to the shops or simply for fun. The challenge is open to everyone, regardless of experience or fitness level.
It’s free to take part, and every ride earns points and the chance to win prizes, including a £3,000 holiday, plus a free bike service, cash prizes and Love to Ride socks. Participants can also join as part of a workplace, school or community group, adding a little friendly competition along the way on the local, national and industry leaderboards.
New for this year, riders can also gain points by rating their routes on the Love to Ride app, sharing feedback on what it’s like to ride on local streets. This helps build a better understanding of where people enjoy riding and where improvements could encourage even more people to choose a bike.
