Session description / prices

Learn to Ride

  • A session for children or adults of any age and their parent / carer to learn about two wheel cycling
  • Children learn to ride without stabilisers
  • Parents/carers support riders with instruction from our Bikeability team
  • Children £3

CycleKIDZ

  • For Learn to Ride graduates
  • Children or adults of any age and their parent / carer to progress their cycling skills through activities led by instructors
  • Parents/carers support riders with instruction from our Bikeability team
  • Children £3. Parents / Carer £3

Individual Sessions

  • Learn to ride or refresh you riding skills with the help of our Cycle Instructors in these more personal sessions. Please note, if you are coming to learn to ride as an adult, someone will need to attend the session with you. Our cycle instructors cannot provide hands-on support due to the ongoing pandemic.

Disability sessions

  • If you identify as disabled these sessions might be for you, we aim to create a welcoming space that boosts confidence
  • We offer a range of specialist inclusive cycles, balance bikes and two-wheelers
  • These sessions are for disabled riders of all ages with their families, friends and carers
  • Parents/carers support riders with instruction from our Bikeability team  
  • £5 per adult. £3 per child. Carers free.

Bikeabilty Level 1

  • Bikeability level 1 is for riders aged 7+ who can already ride.
  • Parents are welcome to join in too.
  • All riders must be booked in.
  • It takes 2 hours with a short comfort/hand washing break.
  • Riders will develop their bike handling skills with a series of fun activities in the centre.
  • Parents/carers need to stay on site, either riding with their child doing bikeability level 1 or riding around the site independently with their other children.
  • Bikes are available to borrow but we are unable to provide helmets at this time.
  • The price is £5 for level 1.  Accompanying riders on site are £3.

Bikeabilty Level 2

  • Bikeability level 2 is a holiday course for children age 9+
  • It takes place over 2.5 hours on roads local to the Cycling Centre.
  • Riders need to be able to ride confidently and be ready to ride on roads (able to ride without stabilisers, good bike control, can look behind and signal without wobbling).
  • Riders should bring their own hand sanitiser, drink and snack plus anything else they need to carry with them in a small backpack such as inhalers, medication or suncream.
  • Bikes are available to borrow but we are unable to provide helmets at this time.
  • The price is £10. We will phone you in advanced of the session to take payment over the phone.

BMX / Pump Track

  • Due to COVID we are unable to use the pump track
